Hoarding and Black Marketing of covid-19 drugs in a Time of Acute Crisis
“Hoarding and Black Marketing of covid-19 drugs in a Time of Acute Crisis”
We are already facing
pandemic issues and putting more efforts to save our loved ones. During this
peak period, black marketing has become a major issue among others. It is done
by common people who belong to our community, to get private gain only. Now the
question arises “what is black marketing”. Black marketing is the
process of economic activity that takes place outside of the government
platform or boundaries. In short, the illegal exchange of services and goods
to avoid norms and regulations of the government authorities. In New
Delhi, the centre told earlier that black marketing/hoarding has become a
serious menace apart from being an unpardonable act of retailing in human
miseries. Most people are selling medical grade oxygen/covid-19 medicines at
exorbitant prices, selling fake substances, and recovering the concerning
substances. Just for private gain, these people have involved in a heinous
offence. Even, people have started hoarding and black-marketing anti-viral
Remdesivir in the nation because this drug is going on in high demand.
Currently,
India is struggling with a catastrophic surge of new coronavirus infections
overwhelming its healthcare system, people are trying to take all desperate
measures to keep alive their loved ones. WHO has already recommended
not to be used Hydroxychloroquine for the Coronavirus because it does not show
any antiviral action on this virus, but after that, it is being
used by a wide number of desperate patients. In several cases, our
India is turning to unproven medical treatments, in others to the black market
for life-saving medications which are in short supply. What is going on? I am
unable to get it, At that time all require to help each other to keep loved
ones alive without thinking about private gain and all. But people are behaving
in this shameless way. The prices for Remdesivir in the black market have
enhanced up to 20-fold to about $1,000 for the single because there are fewer
Indian companies that manufacturers Remdesivir. It is the major reason
for the hoarding and Black marketing for the Remdesivir.
Recently Delhi government filed a report on the number of deaths of
covid-19 patients in the nursing and hospitals due to the high shortage of
oxygen. So, it is important to stop Black Marketing and Hoarding for the
covid-19 medicines and oxygen cylinders. However, our Indian government are
putting more efforts to take into control of all scams related to medicine, and
constitute a team for catching such people who are doing or involve in black
marketing. One thing I will say that it is a shameful thing for us, we should
help our government to inform them about such people instead of being part of
their scam, but we are not doing it. Due to this, some people among us think
that whatever we are doing is right. So, it is crucial to take the step for
ourselves instead of waiting for others that they will take a stand for
us. Just be updated with activeness and fight for yourself.
Jai Hind! Jai
Bharat!
Stay Safe! Stay
Healthy!
